I offer a wide variety of custom made courses designed to fit your learning goals and needs. I am located in Santa Cruz CA but have traveled all over the US to teach.

My base rate for instruction is $100 per person for 4 hours of instruction with a 4 person minimum, Depending on the course, materials and travel that base rate can go up. That being said I love what I do and Im happy to try and work with you and your budget if its possible.

Here are some basic course ideas:

• Wildlife Tracking: Track & Sign or Trailing

• Basic "primitive" survival (shelter, water, fire, food)

• Basic Modern or "Kit survival", building and using a survival kit as well as improvising with found materials

• Primitive & contemporary fire making & ignition methods ( bowdrill, firesaw, fire plow, hand drill, ferro rods, fresnel lens, chemical ignition methods and many others)

• Primitive & Modern Trapping (due to state laws nothing will be trapped)

• Bow & Arrow making

• Archery

• Stone tools/ Flintknapping (Beginner to Advanced)

• Atlatl building

• Wild edible & utilitarian plants, shrubs and trees of the pacific coast.

• Nature Awareness & Bird language

• Animal processing (for consumption or utilizing the sinew, bones, hide ect)

• Hide tanning (Wet Scrape, brain tan)

• Navigation (minimalist and map/compass)

• Basic primitive pottery

• Primitive and modern fishing

• Bow hunting
